Created by Cameron Paterson, Modified on Tue, 28 May at 12:50 PM by Tommy Johnson

1. On the client machine, Access the server file share where Tricorn is installed.

In your windows search bar, enter your server’s name and hit enter.

2. Look for a folder similar named to “Tricorn”, “TricornSQL” or “Tricorn_SQL”.

3. Go to the folder named “Config”.

4. Into the “Installers” folder.

5. Then into the folder named “SFDCe”.

6. Now Run the executable named “Tricorn_SFDC_Setup.exe” make sure it is named this as machines on the network will look for this name in the future, when an upgrade has been applied.

7. On the welcome screen of the installer, press the button labelled "Next" at the bottom right.

8. On the installer screen, accept the agreement by selecting the radial button labelled "I accept

the agreement" and then press the "Next" button at the bottom right.

9. If you would like this machine to be an Admin SFDC terminal (We would recommend this, be the server or the main engineers machine), tick the box that says, “Create a desktop icon for Admin?”

If you would want this machine to be a standard SFDC terminal, then tick the box that says, “Create a desktop icon?”

10. There should now be icon on your desktop available for SFDC to open, the name of the shortcut will correspond with the version it opens, SFDC-e Admin" will open the Admin version of SFDC, and "SFDC-e" will open the standard version of SFDC.

Configuring SFDC

1. To configure SFDC machines, you will need to be on the Admin SFDC, so open the admin shortcut from your desktop.

2. If you are opening SFDC for the first time, SFDC will display a pop-up saying it can't find "QueueDBConfig.xml", ignore this pop-up and press the "OK" button, this will generate the file for you.

3. After pressing "OK", SFDC will display a "Database Configurator" menu, If you enter the servername that you accessed before to find the installer on the file share, into the "Server" box. Without the "\\" at the start.

4. After entering the server name, go to the "Database" box, and press the dropdown arrow on the right-hand side, this will display all available databases on that server. And select the database which you are wanting to use, Commonly this will be labelled "Production" or "Practice".

5. After you've chose the server and database, Press the "Save" button at the bottom right of the menu.

6. After you've pressed "Save" it will ask if you would like to continue, select the button labelled "Yes"

License assignment

1. In the Admin SFDC, Go to "Tools" at the top right hand side of the screen.

2. From the "Tools" dropdown, Select the "Setup" option.

3. After "Setup" there will be 3 options, "Clients", "Database" & "Check for updates". Select the "Clients" option.

4. In the "Client Setup" menu, you've got the list of available client on the top right section, Select which one you would like to provision a license for.

5. To provision the license for the selected client, Select the "Provisioned Client" box, on the section under the client list, once provisioned the client should turn green.

Work Centre assignment

1. In the client setup menu, Select the client you would like to assign the work centre to.

2. Then on the left hand side, there is a list of available work centres, Select which one you would like to assign.

3. At the bottom of the Work Centre list, there is a button that is labelled "Add Queue to client". Pressing this will bring the queue for that work centre onto that client.

4. Once you've assigned all the work centres you'd like to the client, select the "OK" button at the bottom right of the client setup menu.

The client can now view the queue works orders and jobs that were assigned to that work centre.
