Logging in as a newly created DNA user

Created by Neil Brennan, Modified on Fri, 7 Aug at 9:32 AM by Neil Brennan

When an administrator creates a new user in DNA or AeroDNA, the account is given a standard default password rather than one you choose during setup. If you have just created a user and cannot sign in as them, this is usually the reason.

The default password

A newly created DNA user account is set up with the password:

123@abc

It is case sensitive and includes the @ symbol. A common cause of a failed first sign-in is entering a remembered variation such as "abc123" instead.

Change it as soon as the user has signed in

This default is the same for every newly created account, so it should not be left in place:

  1. Sign in as the new user using the default password.
  2. Set a password of your own choosing for that account.
  3. Confirm that the new password works before handing the account over.

If several accounts were created at once, please change the password on each of them rather than only the first.

If the default password is not accepted

Please check the following before contacting us:

  • The username is correct, and is the account you have just created rather than an older one with a similar name.
  • Caps Lock is off, and the @ symbol has been entered correctly. On some keyboard layouts the @ and " keys are transposed.
  • The password has not already been changed by whoever set the account up.

Please stop after two or three failed attempts. Repeated attempts can lock the account, which then needs to be cleared before you can try again.

Still unable to sign in?

Contact us and let us know the exact username of the account affected and whether it is now showing as locked, and we will help you from there. You can reach us at support@fitfactory.com.
